1. What does TFT mean? A.) TFT is short for Thin Film Transistor, a type of LCD (flat panel display screen) in which every pixel on the screen is controlled by one to four transistors. TFT technology provides the best resolution of all flat panel LCDs. TFT screens are also sometimes called active-matrix LCDs. Most TFTs are typically manufactured for indoor use and are not sunlight readable without enhancement.
2. What does G2D mean? A.) Our goal is to provide the finest products from GPS receivers to custom Displays, in short "G2D".
3. Can I upgrade from an existing 12 channel receiver. A.) Most likely yes, most GPS receivers communicate via an RS-232 link and use NEMA 183 protocol. The Gazelle model with serial cable meets these requirements and can be spliced into your current application.
4 How do you make GPS receivers that are so low powered? A.) We employ the new NemeriX 16 channel GPS chipset, the world's lowest powered chipset.
5. Why are all your products named after animals? A.) All G2D products are named after non-domesticated animals in the family known as bovids. There are 140 species in that family. Bovids have several characteristics we can appreciate. bovids can be found on every continent.
